The Eyes Are Blue

A contemporary dance piece about the act of seeing and being seen.

A visual poem for the eyes.

Do you ever look into your own eyes?

Eyes that have watched itself age, change its appearance and environments.

Eyes that have been introduced to new people and new places.

How does it feel to stare into someone else's eyes?

Eyes that belong to only one person’s body, harnessing the visual details within the person’s memories.

How do your eyes perceive others and yourself?

As dancers interact with one another in the space, shifts occur within their eye’s intentions; seeing each other, seeing the audience, seeing themselves, or all seeing something that is not truly there. Dancers are moving in pairs to represent two eyes, exploring their own journey with their own eyes, or are working as a collective to blink (dance) as one.

The world that the audience sees puts them in a mesmerizing trance with detailed movement by conscious dancers who observe the eyes that see them.
